Reviews : 16,5/20 (Jancis Robinson)
A very arranged, beautiful wine with great balance of fruit and oak. The barrel notes (vanilla and oriental spices) is what attacks the nose as the bottle is opened, yet after some time the fruits (smoked plum, overripe cherry) is what comes to the foreground. The notes typical for well aged Bordeaux are also present: terpentine and tobacco. The structure of the wine is subtle: it has good acidity and quite energetic, fine tannins. The wine is full and dense which is typical for the Right Bank. It is one of my best finds with regards to the quality/price ratio.
