Poland Silver Medal "On Guard of the World" 1972 - 1990

Silver (0.775) 45x39 mm.; With original ribbon; original name: Odznaka "Na Strazy Pokoju"; The medal was intended to reward military personnel of the Soviet Army units stationed in the territory of the NDP for merits in strengthening the combat community and military cooperation. In exceptional cases, the medal was awarded to citizens of the states participating in the Warsaw Pact, as well as other socialist and other friendly states. The medal was awarded on behalf of the Prime Minister of Poland. The Guard of the World medal was divided into three degrees: gold, silver and bronze.
