On the back of the token at the top on the gilded ribbon there is an inscription in letters of black enamel: "F.F. Ostromensky." Rare. The Lozovo-Sevastopol Railway with a length of 613 km was put into operation in 1875. The concession for the construction of the railway from the Lozova station of the Kursk-Kharkov-Azov Railway to the best Black Sea port in Crimea - Sevastopol was given to the famous industrialist and philanthropist P.I. Gubonin. The construction was carried out by the forces of the Lozovo-Sevastopol Railway Society (board in St. Petersburg). The foothill terrain when approaching Sevastopol posed a difficult task for the builders. From the station Suren (modern station Verkhnesadovoye), the railway route had to be raised to a height of 150 m above sea level, and then lowered to a 10-meter mark to the edge of Sevastopol Bay. Therefore, due to large elevation changes and the difficult terrain, six railway tunnels were broken through.
